What are touch panel?
Touch panels are input-and-output devices with electronic visual displays and touch interactivity. HOMIQe SmartTouch panels come with relays for on/off control of loads such as lights, fans, curtains and TV sockets etc. Every button is connected to a relay where a load up to 16 Amps can be connected.
Do touch panel indicate their on/off positions?
Yes. HOMIQe SmartTouch panel gives you a white indication when the load is “on” and no indication when its “off”.
How should I choose the right touch panel for me?
Our SmartTouch panel range from single touch panel and dimmers with on/off and dimming functions to two, three, four, eight and ten touch button panel. We also have variants that include 1-2 socket slots. Electrical accessories such as USB, TV, Fan regulator etc. can also be used in the socket slot. Will I have to make changes to the existing wiring in my home to install a SmartTouch panel?
No. Your existing wiring doest not need to be altered for any HOMIQe product. We would either replace your existing switchboard with the SmartTouch panel of your colour choice without doing any ducting work.
What are the touch panel standards available with HOMIQe?
All Indian standard.
Do I need to use any specific brand boxes for HOMIQe SmartTouch panels?
No. All our touch panels are compatible with all standard brand metal boxes.
Is it mandatory to connect insert modules with touch panels?
Not unless the touch panel is used for purposes other than normal electrical switching. For example, if you want your touch panel to dim lights and regulate fans, a dimming insert module would be required. If the touch panel is to be used for curtain control, a curtain insert module is required.
Will I need a dedicated static IP to have device control from everywhere?
If it’s in Wi-Fi range then no need and if someone wants to operate from outside of home then through the cloud.
What if one touch panel relay fails?
Contact HOMIQe customer care and follow the warranty procedure as directed by them. If you are not covered under warranty, our customer care can put you in touch with a certified HOMIQe system integrator who could address the same.
What if my touch panel cracks? Will I have to replace the whole device?
Contact customer care to assess the extent of damage. If only the glass plate has cracked, you can purchase a replacement glass plate from us.
Do the touch panel relays have any inbuilt protection such as fuses?
Yes. We have an inbuilt fuse between the incoming power & relay contact.
Are HOMIQe SmartTouch panels shock proof?
Yes. The front-side digital PCB inside each touch panel works with DC power, which cant cause an electrical shock.
